Job Description
Apply for this opportunity as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician in Braintree, Massachusetts. Position is full-time hours for permanent hire. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Generalist to join our dynamic team. As a Laboratory Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests, assisting in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and providing accurate and timely results. This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment where precision and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (e.g., hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.). Prepare specimens, reagents, and equipment for analysis. Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, laboratory protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Document all laboratory procedures, results, and maintenance activities. Participate in the implementation of quality control programs and maintain laboratory records. Communicate effectively with other laboratory staff, medical professionals, and other departments. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or testing issues as needed. Assist with training of new laboratory staff as required.Qualifications:
Minimum Asscoiate s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Laboratory Technician (CLT) preferred (or eligibility for certification). At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting preferred. Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a high volume of tests. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
