Job Details Location Harrison Township, NJ 08062 (Southern New Jersey, near Philadelphia) Assignment Length 13 weeks (travel medical technologist assignment) Start Date June 22, 2026 Setting Hospital Laboratory / Clinical Laboratory Shift 8 Hour Nights (Night Shift Medical Technologist) Shifts per Week 5 Hours per Week 40 Weekly Estimated Pay $1,690 - $1,820 Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (MT) / Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting ASCP certification preferred; AMT or equivalent certification or state licensure accepted Prior blood bank (BB) experience preferred for this role Familiarity with clinical laboratory testing areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank) and quality control (QC) procedures Ability to work independently and collaboratively with laboratory and clinical staff Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accurate documentation practices Excellent communication skills and ability to work night shifts as scheduled Responsibilities Perform general clinical laboratory testing and blood bank (BB) testing in a hospital setting Operate, maintain, and perform routine QC on laboratory equipment according to protocols Ensure accurate, timely reporting of test results and maintain precise laboratory records Follow CLIA/CAP and hospital quality and safety procedures to support compliance Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and document corrective actions; use Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) as required Harrison Township and southern New Jersey offer a welcoming community atmosphere, parks, and easy access to both rural and urban attractions, including proximity to Philadelphia.
