Overview This position is responsible for designing, planning, maintaining, developing, and establishing technical documentation of technical activities in the section. New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources. Responsibilities
  • Provide primary oversight of quality control, PPE compliance, daily testing, proficiency testing, equipment operation and correlations, regulatory compliance, routine maintenance procedures and temperature checks, chemical inventory, monthly quality reviews and annual Quality Management Plan
  • Assess operational status of the laboratory daily
  • Weekend On-Call testing as necessary
  • Maintain and update the Flow Cytometry Tier II Huddle Board
  • Complete required quality reports and metrics
  • Assist staff members with technical and operational issues
  • Coordinate research projects upon request
  • Assess laboratory equipment needs annually Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience Prior experience working in a clinical Laboratory setting is required without substitution.

  • ASCP, Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist
  • ASCP, Technologist in Hematology, Clinical Chemist-NRCC, Certified Medical Laboratory Technician
