Job Description

Mississippi Urology Clinic, Flowood MS We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLS) to join our growing laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy, urinalysis, and chemistry testing and be committed to providing accurate and timely laboratory results that support exceptional patient care. Essential Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures. Process, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Conduct routine and moderate complexity laboratory testing Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation. Review and verify test results for accuracy and quality. Perform quality control procedures and document results according to laboratory standards. Ensure compliance with CLIA and laboratory safety regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation. Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and patients regarding specimen collection and testing requirements. Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply maintenance. Qualifications Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS/MT). Current certification as MLT (ASCP), MLS/ASCP, MT, or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience preferred. Experience performing phlebotomy on patients. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
