Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled laboratory professional to serve as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Generalist. This contract role is designed for an individual eager to make an impact within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule:
4x10 hour night shifts per week
Assignment Duration:
26 weeks
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or equivalent Experience functioning as a Generalist in a clinical laboratory setting Strong working knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality control Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently on night shifts Demonstrated commitment to upholding laboratory safety protocols Proven effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams
Responsibilities:
Perform and analyze a complete range of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, ensuring timely and accurate results Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Oversee daily quality control procedures and maintain lab compliance standards Document and communicate abnormal test findings promptly to appropriate medical staff Manage specimen collection, processing, and storage according to established procedures Adhere strictly to infection control and safety guidelines at all times
