Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your career as an integral member of the laboratory team, utilizing your expertise as a generalist Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT). This contract opportunity offers a dynamic laboratory setting where your skills play a crucial role in supporting high-quality patient care. The contract spans 26 weeks, providing a stable and engaging professional experience.
Key Schedule:
4x10-hour shifts Night shift position
Desired Qualifications:
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Experience working as a generalist in a clinical laboratory Strong understanding of laboratory best practices, quality control protocols, and regulatory standards Ability to analyze, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts Effective communication skills when collaborating with colleagues and healthcare providers
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of laboratory procedures as a generalist, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and blood bank testing Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot issues, and uphold equipment standards Adhere to all safety protocols, quality control measures, and compliance requirements Document, validate, and accurately record laboratory results in the information system Support the team by assisting with specimen processing, inventory management, and routine lab maintenance This position is ideal for professionals interested in working in a facility located approximately 50 miles from Meridian, MS.
