Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician (Medical Tec) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a variety of laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and analysis to support clinical trials, research projects, and patient care. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnostics, effective treatment plans, and groundbreaking medical research. Responsibilities Collect and process specimens including blood sampling, venipuncture, and other clinical procedures with strict adherence to aseptic techniques. Perform laboratory tests such as ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), PCR (polymerase chain reaction), flow cytometry, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures. Manage laboratory data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring proper documentation and data integrity. Conduct routine laboratory tasks including specimen processing, blood banking activities, and physiology-related measurements like vital signs. Assist in clinical trials by preparing samples, executing assays, and analyzing data to support research objectives. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies; ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals on specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of laboratory results within a clinical setting or research laboratory. Requirements Proven experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment with knowledge of laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and immunoassays. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and blood banking procedures. Hands-on experience with specimen collection methods including phlebotomy and venipuncture; ability to perform blood sampling efficiently and safely. Familiarity with laboratory management systems (LIMS) and data analysis skills for interpreting complex datasets. Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to blood banking, specimen processing, and hospital-based testing environments. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed protocols accurately while maintaining high standards of aseptic technique. Effective communication skills for collaborating with medical staff and documenting results clearly. Certification or training in phlebotomy or related fields is preferred; prior hospital or clinical experience is highly advantageous. Pay:
$13.50 - $14.00 per hour
