Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your laboratory career as a skilled professional performing essential diagnostic testing in a busy healthcare environment. This contract opportunity focuses on third shift coverage and is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working as Generalists and are committed to quality patient care.
Schedule:
Third shift hours, overnight coverage
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Credentialed as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Experience working as a Generalist in a clinical laboratory setting Proficiency with phlebotomy, specimen processing, and operation of automated laboratory equipment Familiarity with standard laboratory information systems and data entry procedures Current certification or eligibility from recognized agencies such as ASCP, AMT, or equivalent Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to accurately document findings Vaccine is required as part of employment for this role
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and report routine and specialized laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and urinalysis Analyze, interpret, and validate patient results following laboratory policies and protocols Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control standards are met for all lab activities Assist in trouble-shooting instruments, participating in proficiency testing, and maintaining laboratory inventory Support continuous improvement and adherence to best practices for infection prevention and regulatory compliance
