This lab specializes in the analysis of hormones and receives specimens from across the country. We are looking for a Lab Medical Technologist who is a team player, with strong attention to detail and communicates well. The Saint Paul VI Institute is a Catholic Ob/Gyn clinic. Come join our team and help us provide excellent health care for women! Pay based on experience - $26-28 per hour
Basic Function and Responsibilities:
Perform complete TOSOH and Immulite procedures for diagnostic and research purposes.
Requirements:
Medical Technologist, ASCP or equivalent
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Centrifuge, separate, and store all patients' blood specimens correctly.
  • Perform quality procedures on the DPC Immulite and TOSOH.
  • Maintains records on all patient values.
  • Maintains and monitor information on all quality control.
  • Reports all patient values accurately.
  • Performs quality control on all equipment.
  • Maintains all equipment in working order.
  • Call in repair personnel when needed for all lab equipment.
  • Keep maintenance logs on all equipment.
  • Order supplies when needed.
  • Keep laboratory neat, clean, and safe for all personnel at all times.
  • Decontaminate laboratory when needed.
  • Evaluate new procedures and reagents when needed.
  • Participate in continuing educational activities.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and helping attitude to all Saint Paul VI Institute employees, patients, and visitors.
  • Perform venipuncture when necessary.
  • Provide coverage for vacationing techs
Hours :
Monday - Friday. No nights, weekends, holidays, or call.
