April 17, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Woodsville, NH 03785, USA Job Details Description Cottage Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT) to join our laboratory team on a Monday-Thursday night shift (2p-12:30am, 75 hours biweekly). This role is essential to delivering accurate, timely lab results that directly support patient care and clinical decision-making. Position Summary The Medical Technologist performs moderate- to high-complexity testing across multiple laboratory disciplines, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy. This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Perform and analyze laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids Ensure accuracy of results and troubleshoot discrepancies as needed Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation Follow all quality control and regulatory standards Properly collect, label, and handle specimens Communicate critical results to providers and nursing staff Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant lab environment Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit hospital team where your work has a direct and meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better. Experience Required Certification as MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or similar national certification. Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field. Preferred 1-2 years of experience preferred. Phlebotomy experience or certification is a plus. Licenses & Certifications Required Basic Life Support
