Job Description

Join Our Team as a Travel Microbiologist - Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Days) - Make an Impact in Healthcare! Are you passionate about advancing patient care through precise microbiological analysis? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Microbiologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic laboratory team at St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. This full-time, day-shift position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contribute to critical diagnostics, and travel to make a difference where it's needed most. What You'll Do:
Analyze complex specimens accurately following established procedures and policies Confirm unusual results and ensure timely, accurate reporting to support clinical decision-making Maintain compliance with CLIA and federal regulations for high complexity testing Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinicians to deliver reliable results in a fast-paced healthcare environment Flexibility to adjust schedules and locations based on departmental needs and your skill set
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent Certification as a CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or equivalent medical technologist credential Meeting CLIA 88 requirements for high complexity testing Laboratory equipment operation proficiency Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Preferably one year of general laboratory experience Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with microbiological testing and infectious disease diagnostics Additional certifications or specialized training in microbiology or related fields Ability to work independently and adapt to varying healthcare settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related discipline Prior experience working in a clinical microbiology laboratory or hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Valid certification/license (CLS-NCA, MT-ASCP, or equivalent) Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays required) and potentially adjust schedules to meet department needs Ability to work in environments involving exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and infectious materials Physical ability to work standing, sitting, or moving supplies up to 50 pounds as needed Must meet all OSHA and safety requirements, including proper PPE use Competitive pay at $46.80/hour, comprehensive benefits, weekly pay schedule via direct deposit, and a robust referral bonus program are just the start.
