Duties:
  • Performs laboratory tests relevant to the section(s) in which they are assigned including quality control testing following established criteria.
  • In addition, performs clerical and computer related activities and phlebotomy with a degree of supervision dependent on experience and training.
This individual interacts with patients of all ages.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory related area.
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
ASCP preferred
  • NY State License Clinical Laboratory Technologist
  • Work Experience:
  • One year full time or equivalent hospital experience including phlebotomy.
