Job Title:
Medical Technologist- Blood Bank Location:
Jamaica, NY 11432
Schedule:
35 Hours per Week (7X5)
Shift:
Evening Shift - 4:00 PM to 12:00
AM Duration:
9 weeks Travel pay: From $2,300/week Local pay: From $52/hr
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with Blood Bank experience to join a dynamic laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing blood bank testing and laboratory procedures while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience in a Blood Bank setting Associate's Degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License issued by NYSED Primary Source Verification of licensure required Ability to read, write, and speak
English Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree BLS Certification Key Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing and procedures in the Blood Bank department Ensure accuracy and quality of laboratory results Follow established laboratory policies, procedures, and safety standards Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support patient care
Required Credentials:
NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technologist License. Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited laboratory technology program
Must Have:
