$22•25/hour ($880•1,000/week) based on experience Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to perform complex laboratory testing and analysis in a clinical laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, critical-thinking skills, and a commitment to quality patient care. This role involves performing, interpreting, and validating laboratory tests while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing and analysis across multiple disciplines in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards. Interpret test results and recognize abnormal findings requiring further investigation or additional testing. Apply scientific principles and laboratory methodologies to ensure accurate and reliable results. Evaluate quality control data and verify the validity of laboratory test results. Troubleshoot testing issues, instrument malfunctions, and quality concerns as needed. Correlate laboratory findings with clinical and pathological conditions. Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory procedures, quality control activities, and test results. Communicate test results, specimen requirements, reference ranges, and other pertinent laboratory information to authorized healthcare personnel. Follow laboratory safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with training and orientation of laboratory personnel as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, Chemical Science, or a related laboratory field from an accredited institution required. Certifications ASCP Certification preferred but not required. Additional laboratory certifications may be considered based on experience and qualifications. Experience Clinical laboratory experience preferred. Experience performing moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing preferred. Recent experience in a hospital, reference laboratory, or healthcare laboratory setting preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of laboratory science, testing methodologies, and quality assurance principles. Ability to perform and interpret laboratory testing at all complexity levels. Knowledge of laboratory regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to recognize abnormal results and determine appropriate follow-up actions. Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and computerized laboratory systems. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Commitment to maintaining quality, compliance, and patient safety standards.
