Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your laboratory career by contributing vital expertise in a dynamic medical setting. Seeking an experienced and reliable individual with strong medical technologist and medical lab technician experience to function as a generalist, with a particular emphasis on blood banking.
Schedule:
Night shift 3x12 hour shifts per week
Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification or eligibility as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Experience functioning as a generalist within a clinical laboratory Proven blood banking experience is required Demonstrated skill with laboratory instrumentation and troubleshooting techniques Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to quality assurance protocols Strong communication skills to collaborate with clinical staff and relay critical findings
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across various disciplines, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology Execute all functions related to blood banking, such as compatibility testing, antibody screening, and blood product preparation Analyze test results, verify accuracy, and report findings promptly to appropriate medical personnel Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with established standards Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols to protect patients and colleagues Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives Engage in ongoing education to stay current with advancements in laboratory medicine Enjoy a collaborative environment where your skills drive positive patient outcomes.
