Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract A skilled laboratory professional is needed for a contract assignment requiring expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This role is essential in supporting critical laboratory services and contributing to accurate patient diagnostics.
Schedule:
Choose from either 4 shifts of 10 hours each or 5 shifts of 8 hours each per week
Key Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or through ASCP required Experience with blood banking procedures is necessary Proficient phlebotomy skills are essential Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a busy laboratory setting Strong grasp of laboratory procedures, quality controls, and safety protocols Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct complex laboratory testing and ensure precise analysis of samples Perform blood banking duties, including processing, compatibility testing, and preparation for transfusion Carry out phlebotomy procedures efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and safety Accurately record and interpret laboratory data, reporting results in a timely manner Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards Uphold rigorous standards of infection control, confidentiality, and documentation This contract position spans 10 to 13 weeks and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic laboratory environment, surrounded by knowledgeable professionals committed to high-quality patient care.
