Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Expand your career in a dynamic medical laboratory setting where your expertise will be valued and put to great use. The position specializes in laboratory testing, particularly with a need for blood banking and phlebotomy skills.
Schedule:
Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week.
Qualifications:
National certification (ASCP or MT) required. Proven experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Technologist. Expertise in blood banking and transfusion services. Proficiency in phlebotomy. Strong attention to accuracy, quality, and safety protocols. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively. Adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complex laboratory procedures across various departments, with special attention to blood bank operations. Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens—ensuring efficient and safe phlebotomy practices. Maintain laboratory instruments, documents procedures, and troubleshoot as necessary. Validate, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and on time. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, institutional guidelines, and best practices. Engage in ongoing quality control and continuous improvement activities.
