Travel Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) | Block Night Shift | 16-
Week Travel Assignment Location:
Medford, Oregon Schedule:
3 x 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) |
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Nights Contract Length:
16 Weeks with possible extension

You will monitor sleep architecture, respiratory events, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and neurologic activity while assisting with PAP therapy titrations and patient education. Key Responsibilities Perform overnight diagnostic polysomnography (PSG) Conduct baseline sleep studies Perform CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP, and ASV titration studies Prepare patients for overnight sleep testing Apply EEG, ECG, EMG, EOG, respiratory, and pulse oximetry sensors Monitor sleep studies in real time Identify sleep-related breathing disorders Recognize cardiac abnormalities during sleep studies Monitor end-tidal CO₂ Monitor respiratory effort using Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography (RIP) Monitor oxygen saturation (SpO₂) Identify respiratory events and sleep disturbances Troubleshoot equipment and sensor issues Score sleep studies according to AASM standards Document patient observations accurately in Epic Educate patients regarding PAP therapy and sleep testing procedures Fit and adjust CPAP/BiPAP masks Maintain infection prevention standards Perform equipment calibration and quality assurance checks Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Sleep Studies Performed Candidates should have experience with: Baseline Diagnostic Polysomnography (PSG) Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) Home Sleep Testing (HST) CPAP Titration BiPAP Titration VPAP Therapy Adaptive Servo-Ventilation (ASV) Monitoring Experience Required Experience monitoring: Electroencephalography (EEG) Electrocardiography (ECG) Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂) End-Tidal CO₂ Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography (RIP) Cardiac Rhythm Respiratory Events Periodic Limb Movements (PLM) Sleep Architecture Sleep Efficiency Sleep Scoring Experience Candidates should be proficient in identifying and scoring: Sleep Stages Arousals Transient Arousals Respiratory Events Apneas Hypopneas Periodic Breathing Cheyne-Stokes Respiration Complex Sleep Apnea Periodic Limb Movements (PLMS) PAP Therapy Experience Experience with: CPAP BiPAP VPAP Adaptive Servo-Ventilation (ASV) Oxygen Administration PAP Therapy Monitoring Pressure Adjustments PAP Therapy Troubleshooting Mask Fitting Experience Experience fitting: Full Face Masks Nasal Masks Nasal Pillow Masks Patient Population Provide care for adult patients with: Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Central Sleep Apnea Complex Sleep Apnea Narcolepsy Periodic Limb Movement Syndrome (PLMS) Chronic Sleep Disorders Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders Equipment Experience Preferred experience using: ResMed Sleep Systems Digital Polysomnography Equipment PAP Therapy Devices Epic Electronic Medical Record Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Allied Health, Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or Neurodiagnostic Technology program Required Certifications Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
OR Active Oregon Polysomnography License Additionally Required:
Current BLS Certification Preferred Experience Candidates should have: Minimum 1 year of recent Sleep Lab experience Hospital Sleep Lab experience preferred Experience with diagnostic polysomnography PAP titration experience Sleep study scoring experience Epic EMR experience Strong patient education skills Professional Skills Successful candidates demonstrate: Excellent patient care Strong critical thinking Attention to detail Technical troubleshooting skills Effective communication Time management Ability to work independently Team collaboration Infection prevention knowledge Accurate clinical documentation Apply Today!
