5-hour shifts) Position Overview A leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist to perform overnight sleep studies and support the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for polysomnography by explaining procedures and applying monitoring equipment. Conduct overnight diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies, including CPAP/BiPAP titrations. Monitor patients throughout testing and respond to patient needs and emergencies. Record and document physiological data including EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory effort, airflow, oxygen saturation, and limb movements. Score and analyze sleep studies in accordance with established guidelines. Troubleshoot and maintain sleep study equipment. Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of reports. Follow infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality protocols. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care. Required Qualifications Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification (required). Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and sleep study procedures. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Additional Notes Night shift, block schedule position.
