Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract A full-time Medical Technologist position is available on a contract basis, offering an excellent opportunity for those seeking experience in a dynamic laboratory setting. Schedule:
Sunday through Saturday coverage Mid-shifts 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
ASCP or AMT certification required BLS certification required Registered US Tech status Experience operating GE equipment preferred MT (Medical Technologist) or MLT (Medical Lab Technician) background Generalist laboratory experience strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests accurately and efficiently Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including GE equipment Ensure proper sample collection, handling, and analysis according to safety and quality standards Document and communicate test results to healthcare teams for patient care decisions Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements Assist with training other lab staff and students as needed Uphold best practices in laboratory operations and infection control This assignment offers a rewarding experience in a collaborative environment with the chance to work alongside skilled professionals.
