Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Travel Set in the charming town of Goose Creek, SC, this travel assignment offers medical technologists and lab technicians a unique opportunity to grow their professional skill set while immersing themselves in a welcoming southern community. Goose Creek blends rich history, beautiful scenery, and access to the vibrant culture of the greater Charleston area, making it perfect for those who want to balance career advancement with meaningful downtime and adventure. Over 13 weeks, you'll gain valuable experience as a laboratory generalist, expanding your resume by working with a variety of advanced analytic equipment including the Roche Cobas 6000 and Sysmex-WAM. Exposure to multiple electronic medical records platforms like Cerner and Epic, plus middle ware systems such as Roche and Instrument Manager, will broaden your technical scope and sharpen your adaptability. Collaborate with diverse teams and experience leadership styles that will further hone your expertise, all while enjoying the flexibility of a travel role.
Schedule:
5x8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Technologist or MLT Strong generalist background with required experience in microbiology and blood bank procedures Experience with Roche Cobas 6000 required; familiarity with Sysmex-WAM, Roche middleware, and Instrument Manager preferred Comfortable working with Cerner and Epic EMR systems (preferred) Must reside 50+ miles from Goose Creek (no local applicants)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of clinical lab testing as a generalist, including blood bank and microbiology work Maintain and troubleshoot high-end analyzers and lab equipment Accurately document in multiple EMR systems Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to deliver precise, timely results
