US Got People (USGP) US Got People (USGP) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Blood Bank team at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Cavazos. This is an exciting opportunity to support our nation's military community in a highly respected federal healthcare environment.
Position Details & Benefits:
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 730am-430pm (plus some Saturdays for blood drives)
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Pay:
$33.00/hour + Health & Welfare stipend

Education:
Bachelor's degree Graduate of a medical technology program accredited by
NAACLS , ABHES
, or recognized by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current certification as a Medical Technologist through either: ASCP (MT-ASCP) AMT (MT-AMT)
Experience:
Minimum 1 years of Blood Bank experience within the past 2 years Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain): Hepatitis B (series and titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB (Tuberculosis) test Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine
COVID-19
vaccine (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and certify lab results in Lifetrak/MHS Genesis Train and guide laboratory technicians, residents, and staff on procedures and policies Lead Blood Donor Center (BDC) operations including manufacturing, inventory, and donor drive coordination Perform quality control reviews, identify process trends, and implement corrective actions as needed Conduct patient testing in compliance with SOPs and document results accurately in LIS and BEC systems Verify blood component documentation and ensure all transfusion protocols are followed Complete all training, competency assessments, and CEUs to maintain certification Ensure compliance with
AABB, CAP, FDA, TJC
