Lead Medical Technologist Schedule:

How you'll contribute A Lead Med Tech ensures technical competence and proficiency of the testing process, procedures equipment, and personnel in the area of clinical specialty.
Additional duties include:
Performs procedures in assigned sections for patients of all age groups. Assumes responsibility for accurate test results based on independent judgment, proper use, and maintenance of equipment. Assists manager/supervisor with correlation, validation, verification, and troubleshooting. Assists manager/supervisor with section development, documents, and records. Maintains adequate stock of supplies. Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner. Assists leader with proficiency testing processes. Assists leader with competency assessments for all staff in section, including direct observation assessment. Assists with orientation and training of personnel and students. Additional requirements include:
Experience:
two years in clinical specialty required. One year previous lead tech or management experience preferred.
Certifications:
ASCP or equivalent registry Basic Life Support (BLS).
