Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your career in laboratory science as a key member of a collaborative healthcare team. This opportunity focuses on providing essential medical laboratory services during the evening and overnight hours in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule:
7:00 pm - 7:00 am Three 12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of clinical laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology. Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens accurately and efficiently. Ensure test accuracy by following laboratory protocols and quality assurance standards. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment with precision. Document and report test results in a timely manner to support patient care decisions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare staff to address testing needs and resolve discrepancies. Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field. Prior experience performing clinical laboratory testing strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts. Solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols and best practices. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
