Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Travel Experience vibrant South Hill, VA—a region that offers a wonderful blend of small-town charm and natural beauty, ideally situated to explore the rich history and scenic trails of southern Virginia. Working here as a travel laboratory professional is your opportunity for rewarding career advancement and personal discovery, all while gaining exposure to diverse healthcare environments. As a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Generalist (with limited micro responsibilities), you'll collaborate with dedicated colleagues and adaptable leaders, enhancing your technical skills and broadening your perspective. With flexibility to choose between a 13- or 16-week assignment, you'll enjoy a role that lets you refine your expertise, bolster your resume, and experience the adventure of working in new surroundings.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday, evenings 8-10 hour shifts (varies per need) Assignment length: 13-16 weeks (your choice)
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician Generalist background required; comfort with limited microbiology tasks ASCP or equivalent certification preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Adaptability to different laboratory settings and workflow systems
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex lab tests across various disciplines Manage specimen collection, processing, and analysis with precision Maintain instrumentation and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate, timely results Uphold laboratory safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
