As a Clinical Lab Scientist, you will perform moderate to high complexity testing in a lab environment while following a highly regulated process. Highlights:
36 hours a week on all available shifts.
$27/hour plus shift differentials.
Contract with potential to become permanent.
Follow operating procedures, perform complex testing and analysis of clinical specimens
Perform, review, and document quality control procedures with accuracy
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
Prepare reagents required for laboratory testing
Identify and troubleshoot basic problems that affect test performance
Maintain a sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies for daily operations
Maintain quality, identify issues that might impact quality, and communicate concerns to the appropriate manager
Manage daily test processing needs along with project needs in a high-quality, efficient, and effective manner
Review, interpret, and approve patient results as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science field, preferably Biology or Chemistry OR Required credits- 6 in Biology, 6 in Chemistry and 24+ in total combined.
Able to work in the U.S.
Confidentiality as you will be working with patient medical information
Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
Experience in molecular testing or previous experience as a
Scientist- Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to perform technical work up to 95% of a typical working day and administrative work up to 5% of a typical working day
Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motions including the ability to grasp with both hands, pinch with thumb and forefinger, turn with hand/arm, and reach above shoulder height
