LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader to join our team at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Franklin in Franklin, WI.
Work Schedule:
1st shift. 8:00am - 4:30pm with rotating weekends and holiday rotation. Hours may change based on business needs or at the request of management.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the supervisor with the day to day operations of the Department/Lab Name departmentSend daily, weekly and monthly productions reports to managementAssist with the training of new hires and the development of current employees Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance and any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilitiesDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPsMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityPrepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology5 years or more of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technician/Technologist generalist (chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology and blood bank)ASCP and/or
AMT CertificationPreferred Qualifications:
1 years or more of experience supervising or leading a core laboratory team

In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresProficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfortability making decisions in a changing environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you an experienced clinical laboratory professional looking for leadership opportunity?
