Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled laboratory professional to perform essential diagnostic testing and support clinical decision-making processes within a healthcare environment. This contract position requires expertise in both Medical Technologist and Medical Lab Technician competencies, contributing to high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory analysis and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or eligibility as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field Recent experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols Ability to follow quality control measures and maintain detailed, accurate records Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills Proficient in analyzing results, troubleshooting equipment, and adhering to all regulatory standards
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests on patient samples, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment Record, interpret, and communicate laboratory findings accurately to physicians and nursing staff Perform quality assurance activities and participate in proficiency testing Adhere to infection control, privacy, and safety practices at all times Support other laboratory staff through collaboration and effective communication Assist with inventory management and troubleshooting technical issues This opportunity provides valuable experience in a dynamic laboratory environment with supportive colleagues and access to advanced technology.
