This role partners closely with facility leadership to support regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, employee development, and resident-centered care. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and facilitate orientation programs for newly hired nursing staff Develop and conduct educational programs for nurses and nursing assistants Monitor and validate staff competencies Plan and implement required in-service training programs Maintain employee education records and training documentation Assist with survey preparedness and regulatory compliance activities Support infection prevention and quality assurance initiatives Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for nursing staff Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities Qualifications Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred Previous experience in staff development, education, or nursing leadership preferred Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects and deadlines Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing healthcare professionals Make a Difference Beyond the Bedside This is an opportunity to shape the future of nursing within our facility by helping caregivers build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and provide outstanding care to our residents.
