Join our Talent Network Description We are seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a Field Engineer providing hands-on support during a multicenter clinical study involving a surgical device used in open procedures. This per diem role involves working directly in the operating room (OR) during initial site activation to ensure Proper device use Adherence to study protocol Accurate intra-operative data collection You will act as a clinical and procedural expert, partnering with surgeons, OR staff, and research teams to support consistent and high-quality study execution. This is a per diem, as-needed role requiring flexibility, advanced clinical knowledge, and strong communication skills. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN), Bachelor's degree required Current, active nursing license in good standing Strong clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery Hands-on exposure to cardiovascular surgical procedures Experience with clinical trials or research studies strongly preferred Minimum 2+ years of clinical education, training, or device support experience preferred Deep understanding of operating room protocol and sterile field practices Ability to educate and influence surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff in real time Availability for per diem assignments, including early mornings and full-day procedures Ability to travel regionally or nationally, including overnight stays Strong communication skills, professionalism, and adaptability in fast-paced surgical environments Comfortable using mobile tools for documentation and communication Primary Responsibilities Provide on-site education and intraoperative support during cardiovascular procedures within a clinical trial Educate healthcare teams on the proper use, handling, and integration of the investigational product Reinforce procedural best practices while maintaining strict adherence to clinical trial protocols Deliver education before, during, and after procedures to surgeons, nurses, and OR staff Maintain subject matter expertise on the product, procedure, and study requirements Ensure all interactions align with clinical, regulatory, and company guidelines Complete required training and maintain ongoing competency Document case activity and provide clear, timely post-case reports and feedback Ensure proper handling and care of any clinical support materials or equipment Represent the organization with a high level of professionalism in all clinical settings Work Conditions Per diem / as-needed schedule based on clinical trial needs Work performed in hospital operating rooms and surgical centers Requires standing for extended periods and participation in live surgical procedures Travel required, including early morning starts and possible overnight stays The hourly salary for this position ranges from $50/hr. The range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
