Surgery Department / CVOR Job Description HealthCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator with strong CVOR and Perioperative Services experience to support staff development, competency validation, and clinical education initiatives within the surgical services department. This role requires a clinically proficient perioperative RN who can function as both an educator and clinical expert while driving evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Serve as a perioperative clinical expert and resource for nursing staff. Promote evidence-based practice and nurse-sensitive outcome improvement. Implement new clinical techniques, technologies, and best practices. Support performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. Education & Staff Development Conduct orientation and educational programs including Peri-Op 101 . Develop and maintain competency validation programs. Assess learning needs and create educational plans for perioperative staff. Educate staff on advanced surgical nursing skills and emerging practices. Measure and communicate educational outcomes. Research & Quality Improvement Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research and process improvements. Utilize quality methodologies such as DMAIC and Root Cause Analysis. Evaluate products, devices, and surgical technologies. Professional Leadership Mentor and coach nursing staff. Facilitate organizational change and professional growth. Participate in committees, councils, and leadership initiatives. Build relationships with clinical teams and management to improve educational outcomes. Required Qualifications Active California RN License Current AHA BLS Certification Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Minimum 2 years recent clinical nursing experience Previous Educator experience Strong CVOR experience Experience with Robotic Surgery Experience developing and teaching Peri-Op 101 Experience performing Scrub and Circulate duties BI02Pay:
