- Nurses are empowered, respected, and actively involved in shaping practice Position Summary The Unit-Based Nurse Educator provides dedicated education and competency support for the 6 Central, Transplant Unit.
- Facilitate unit-based orientation for new 6 Central, Transplant Unit nursing staff
- Coordinate and maintain annual education requirements, including regulatory, competency, and skills-based training
- Provide education related to advanced transplant techniques
- Support competency validation and ongoing clinical skill development
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality monitoring, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
- Serve as a clinical resource for evidence-based cardiac and critical care practices
- Promote professional growth, clinical excellence, and a culture of continuous learning
- Provide flexibility for occasional nights and weekends to meet unit needs Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current Registered Nurse license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
- Minimum of 3 years of cardiac specialty nursing experience required
- Additional 1-3 years of training, education, or staff development experience preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Liver and Kidney Transplants, Urology and Colorectal Surgeries, Bariatric Surgeries. Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of cardiac critical care nursing and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and nursing leadership
- Passion for education, mentorship, and advancing cardiac nursing practice

$38.11- $98.
