Facility Educator Baystate Medical Center

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts's premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence seeks a Registered Nurse Facility Educator supporting Baystate Medical Center. Under the direction of the System Director of Clinical Education with a matrix reporting to the facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Facility Educator for Baystate Medical Center ensures clinical staff receive timely, relevant, responsive education, mentoring, and is responsible for hands-on educational support. The Facility Educator supports bedside education and assists with the implementation of new initiatives.

• RESPONSIBILITIES

• + Bedside Teaching & Mentorship + Highly visible facility-based educator that provides real-time clinical education and coaching at the point of care.

+ Support staff with clinical decision-making, documentation, and procedural guidance. + Initiative Implementation + Assist in the deployment of new system-wide initiatives. + Ensure consistent messaging and training across shifts. + Serve as a resource for staff, with access to patient charts to support clinical reasoning and documentation. + Use digital tools to provide guidance and feedback. + Collaborative Leadership + Maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship with the CNO of each facility to align education with site-specific needs. + Communicate regularly with the central education team to ensure continuity and integration of educational efforts. + Mentors other professionals

• SCHEDULE

• + Full-Time 40 hours per week + Monday
• Friday (flexibility based on the needs of the facility) + Travel required as needed

• QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree Required:

A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), MSN or master's degree in health-related field if

BSN. + RN

Massachusetts (required). + At least three years of clinical experience. + Experience teaching/precepting individuals or groups of students or staff; Prior experience within a teaching hospital. + Project Management experience preferred.
