Job Description:
Job Requirements Under general supervision, plans and coordinates educational/competency activities for emergency room nursing staff which shall be directed toward the achievement of excellence in patient care. The Clinical Practice Coordinator is a registered nurse who serves as a clinical expert, educator, and change agent in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of unit based learning needs and programs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The specific job duties may be changed by the Department Director with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization. Work Experience To qualify for the position the candidate must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and possess a BS in Nursing, MSN is preferred and 3 years relevant and recent clinical experience. Certification in area of specialty is preferred. Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Maryland. BLS and ACLS provider certification required. PALS certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
 Knowledge of evidenced-based standards relevant to professional nursing practice  Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patient populations  Knowledge of and demonstrated competency in adult learning theory and group dynamics.  Basic knowledge of electronic documentation and use of technology to support learning (Powerpoint, Excel)  The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient and departmental documents is required.
