  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Allied Health Instructor to join our educational team, committed to shaping the future of healthcare professionals.
In this role, you will deliver engaging instruction across a variety of allied health disciplines, including Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Massage Therapy, and Pharmacy Technician. Your expertise will help students develop essential clinical skills, deepen their understanding of anatomy, physiology, and patient care, and prepare them for successful careers in healthcare settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of health professionals through innovative teaching methods and real-world clinical experiences. Duties Assist the Dean of Nursing in developing and delivering a comprehensive curriculum content aligned with current industry standards and accreditation requirements. Facilitate classroom instruction, laboratory sessions, and clinical simulations focused on anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, dental terminology, veterinary terminology, and patient care procedures. Supervise students during clinical research projects, laboratory experiments, and hospital or veterinary clinic rotations to ensure safety and adherence to protocols. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to track student progress, review documentation, and provide timely feedback. Coordinate with healthcare facilities to organize clinical trials, acute care experiences, and public health initiatives for practical student engagement. Review student documentation and assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance with educational standards. Support curriculum development efforts by integrating current research findings, laboratory techniques, and emerging healthcare technologies into instructional materials. Qualifications Proven experience in higher education teaching within allied health fields. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology (including animal physiology), medical/dental/veterinary terminology, and patient care practices. Supervising experience in clinical settings or laboratory environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with learning technology platforms like Blackboard or similar LMS tools for course management. Background in hospital, related field of study or the health care environments with acute care exposure preferred. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations at various levels of adult education; experience working with students in pediatrics or public health is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear documentation review and instructional clarity.
