Clinical Nurse Educator Location:
Santa Fe, NM Full-time & Exempt Salary:
$100k Who We Are At El Castillo Life Plan Community, we offer a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven team providing high-quality care to older adults in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We are Santa Fe's first and only Life Plan Community, offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and intermediate nursing care on one beautifully maintained campus. What You'll Do As a Clinical Nurse Educator at El Castillo, you'll play a key role in delivering compassionate, professional nursing care to our residents across a range of care levels.
Some responsibilities include:
Develops and implements comprehensive orientation programs for new clinical staff, tailored to each level of care (Intermediate Care, Assisted Living and Memory Care) Coordinates and delivers ongoing staff education, in-service training, and skills labs as needed to reinforce compliance with state and federal requirements. Monitors staff competencies and clinical performance, as well as compliance with documentation standards, providing retraining when needed. Maintains training records and collaborates with DON and HR to ensure compliance with mandatory education. Serves as the Learning Management System administrator. Provides leadership presence on units to mentor staff and reinforce clinical best practices. Supports infection prevention, fall prevention, and safety protocols in alignment with facility policies. Is responsible for creation/development/revision of facility clinical policies, procedures and guidelines in collaboration with the DON. Supports the DON in planning and execution of quality assurance/performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Participates in incident reviews and helps with staff coaching as directed by the DON. Ensures nursing documentation meets standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
