$19.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM (40hrs)
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will include transporting and providing services to persons with a developmental disability to and from pre-vocational activities in the community.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Provide pre-vocational services to persons with a developmental disability Assist clients to achieve valued outcomes Daily documentation of services provided according to OPWDD regulations. Provide monthly summary of client progress according to OPWDD regulations Record attendance and time in/time out of program Ensure health, safety and program compliance Provide advocacy, mentorship and vocational support Transport clients from/to home and community activities
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
Work as part of team of prevocational specialists
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
Passion for assisting others to meet vocational goals Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with I/DD population Valid Driver's License Bilingual (English/Spanish) or ASL is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma Minimum of 6 months experience with persons with a developmental disability
