IV therapy specializes in the care of patients requiring intravenous related therapies initiating, monitoring, and troubleshooting of peripheral, central, epidural, and phlebotomy. Acts as a resource for all staff to meet the complex IV therapy needs of patients in all areas. The nurse providing intravenous therapy has advanced clinical knowledge, technical expertise, strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. You will have the opportunity to work with patients with a variety of medical problems and complications requiring hospitalization. Many patients will need telemetry monitoring. You can excel in medical nursing, use of telemetry monitoring, and patient education. Nurses working in General Medicine have the support of comprehensive orientation developed by clinical nurse specialists in medical and cardiac nursing, on-site BLS and telemetry classes, and ongoing clinical education. The staff is highly involved in quality improvement activities, program development, recognition activities, and team building. The clinical ladder program provides the opportunity for professional growth through mentoring, opportunities for leadership, and generous educational funding.
Requirements:
Current NYS RN license ASN required; BSN preferred 2 years nursing experience IV experience preferred
Pay Range:
$41.00-$53.10 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
