Fort Worth, Dallas and Plano Specialties:
Critical Care, Emergency, Perinatal, Allied Health, Periop Work hours: Full Time Days (8AM-5PM). Monday-Friday Here's What You Need Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required And Master's Degree Nursing, Education or related Healthcare field Preferred 1 Year Staff development or adult education experience. Required And 3 Years Clinical experience including 2 years in area of specialty or 2 years in the Clinical Education department Required RN- Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills in English; current knowledge of professional and health care issues and nursing practice. Well organized. Must be tech savvy and have familiarity with utilizing a Learning Management System. What You Will Do Program Design, Development, and Implementation
- Partners in the development and implementation of clinical skill/competency development solutions, in service of the unit, department, entity/system high risk/low volume activity.
- Develops and implements clinical skills development solutions for changes in clinical practice, including documentation.
- Partners in development and implementation of onboarding programs, transition residency programs, clinical academic partnership placement, continuing education deployment, safety training across the organization. Change Management
- Helps move clinical staff through changes by partnering in the adoption of new clinical practices on the unit.
- Provide clinical coaching to staff in order to drive adoption of new tools. Consulting
- Serves as a clinical skill development consultant to management for assigned client groups: discusses and identifies skill development needs and participates in the evaluation and monitoring of competency development programs, life support programs, onboarding programs, student placement needs, and processes as well as continuing education efforts.
- Serves on entity level root cause analysis teams, conducts board of nursing investigation practices, partners with Unit Based Councils, and serves on NCAP committee (as appropriate). Competency & Accreditation Support
- Maintains documentation for clinical competencies and supports accreditation readiness.
- Collaborates with coordinators to ensure proper storage and tracking of competency records. Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicates regularly with clinical teams and leadership to assess satisfaction, identify gaps, and troubleshoot educational challenges.
- Builds strong relationships across departments to foster a culture of learning and excellence. Content Design & Development
- Translates current research and standards of practice to develop, analyze and coordinate a comprehensive plan of education for a targeted healthcare profession and discipline.
- Designs content in line with business priorities and aligned with the organizations KPIS.
- Develops and implements clinical skills development solutions for changes in clinical practice, including documentation and aligned with functional and discipline specific competencies.
- Develops and designs relevant content for programs including areas of onboarding, transition, continuing education, and other Texas Health clinical strategic imperatives.
- Creates engaging e-learning aligned with adult learning principles. Program Implementation
- Partners in the implementation of clinical skill/competency development solutions, in service of the unit, department, entity/system high risk/low volume activity.
- Serves as a facilitator and expert in programs such as onboarding, transition residency and other events.
- Serves as a master trainer in areas related to documentation, clinical competency, and Texas Health policy and practices in a particular area.
- Builds pool of local SMEs and utilized SMEs in the delivery of content for specific practices. Consulting
- Serves as a clinical skill development consultant to teams focused on system level changes in a particular area (policy and practice changes, root cause analysis). Stakeholder Communication
- Regularly communicate with client group to determine needs, outcomes, and satisfaction.
- Identifies issues and trouble shoots them as appropriate.
