Job Summary:
Responsible for providing assessments, job development, skills training, work experience, job shadowing and/or job coaching to clients enrolled in Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Job Description:
Assist clients with all aspects of preparing for a job, examples include but are not limited to, contacting potential employers on their behalf, writing resumes, interview skills, etc. Conduct task analysis of client job duties and responsibilities. Provides training onsite training and support utilizing fading techniques to withdraw from site when appropriate; promotes the use of natural supports to better retain a job in the workplace. Negotiates work related issues with employer. Coordinates communications with parents, residential providers, DVR counselors, care managers, etc. to provide information on client's status. Obtain and maintain proper authorizations prior to and while providing services. Completes and maintains all related documentation in accordance with the agency standard including; services evaluation data, monthly progress notes, employer contact logs, as well as any additional required documentation.
Requirements:
Experience working with people with disabilities. Experience in staffing, training or development preferred. Deadline-driven. Strong communication skills.
