Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Pediatrics & Level
III NICU
$85.41 - $116.59/hour A highly respected public teaching hospital and regional referral center on California's beautiful Central Coast is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to support both its Pediatric Unit and Level
III NICU.

Join a well-established Women's and Children's program featuring a 15-bed Level III NICU and 12-bed Pediatric Unit Serve in a highly visible role partnering with Nursing Education and Women's & Children's leadership Focus on clinical excellence, quality improvement, education, consultation, and research No direct reports, allowing greater focus on influencing practice and patient outcomes Work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment alongside physicians, nursing leaders, and frontline staff Competitive compensation and potential sign-on assistance Key Responsibilities Serve as a clinical expert and consultant for Pediatric and NICU nursing teams Lead evidence-based practice initiatives and performance improvement projects Develop and facilitate staff education, competency programs, and professional development activities Collaborate on policy development and nursing practice standards Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, committees, and quality initiatives Support nursing research and implementation of best practices Qualifications Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License or ability to obtain prior to start Active California Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) License or ability to obtain prior to start Master's Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization Clinical experience within Pediatrics, Neonatal Intensive Care, or a related specialty Strong background in education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice About the Community Located along California's scenic Central Coast, this community offers an exceptional quality of life with a mild year-round climate, easy access to beaches, hiking, wine country, and outdoor recreation.
