Opportunity:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist position will support local leaders at communities located throughout Texas. In association with those local leaders, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for designing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating process and programs to meet regulatory requirements and to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing a high level of leadership and guidance in the establishment of programs, policies and practices that ensure all communities provide exceptional care in accordance with community policies and state regulations. Participates in strategic planning and the development of market initiatives by providing input from clinical and leadership perspectives. Maintains knowledge of current assisted living regulations. Ensures compliance with company policies/procedures, pharmacy policies/procedures, and state and federal agency regulations. Educates and assists local Wellness Leaders to be survey ready at all times. Provides on-site support and/or assistance during state visits. Assists in preparing Plans of Correction. Identifies opportunities for improvement within community Wellness Departments through frequent visits and communicates information to the Executive Director and Wellness Leader. Participates in recruitment and selection of Wellness Leaders. Provides support and participates in initial orientation, professional development and ongoing training of all Wellness Directors within the assigned Market. Conducts mock surveys on all Wellness Departments within assigned communities at least annually. Performs general nursing duties as necessary. Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary to ensure that the needs of the communities and market are met.

Qualifications:
Current unencumbered RN license required Senior Living experience, preferred Valid driver license and favorable driving history Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, required Clinical Nurse Specialist will be expected to travel across Texas at least 50% of the time.
