Job Description

Growing industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Quality Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the quality department, quality policies and the IATF Standard. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer requirements and industry standards. This position requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in quality management, process improvement, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continue to improve the quality KPI's
  • Manage the Quality System while continuously making improvements.
  • Manage the annual IATF Audit cycle with minimal findings.
  • Provide ongoing training to the employees regarding the quality policies, procedure and best practices to improve the overall employee knowledge & skills.
  • Support the efforts to leverage and expand PLEX into the organization.
  • Help/support the documentation, improvement and training of our various processes to become a process driven organization (all functions).
Quality Management:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system in accordance with
ISO/IATF
standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Manage the internal Quality Management System audits and Layered Process Audits, including selection, training and evaluation of auditors.
Quality Control:
  • Monitor and enforce quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and sampling.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Oversee the Calibration function
Supplier Quality Management:
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards.
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma principles to reduce defects and waste.
Training and Development:
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality policies, control techniques and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
Customer Relations:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and inquiries.
  • Work closely with customers to resolve quality-related issues and maintain strong customer relationships.
Quality Metrics and Reporting:
  • Develop and maintain key quality performance metrics and reports for management review.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the leadership team.
IeGeneral:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in various quality methodologies.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of quality department.
  • Ensure projects are executed within scope, timeline, and budget, while achieving desired outcomes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in and support for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, and achievements in regards to quality.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Quality Management, Engineering, or similar) and/or the equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO/IATF standards, and quality tools (Six Sigma, 5S, Lean, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in quality-related software and tools.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving operational excellence and driving measurable outcomes.
  • Strong Leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate the quality team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
