Find your next career opportunity and make a difference doing what you love at Children's. Job Description • Manages and directs the work of Project Managers and Process Improvement Specialists. Provides managerial oversight of a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including waterfall execution and process improvement projects. Leads teams in managing deliverables, timelines, status, and quality outcomes across projects that may span multiple functions, departments, and processes. Ensures project scope aligns with strategic objectives and that initiatives are delivered on time and within defined parameters. Collaborates closely with operational and clinical leadership to ensure decisions are implemented and organizational goals are achieved. Ensures all projects are well-scoped, structured, and governed appropriately. Oversees comprehensive portfolio reporting, including regular status updates, KPI tracking, and identification of at-risk initiatives. Facilitates corrective actions to address performance gaps and keep projects on track. Participates in the execution of system-wide and ambulatory quality initiatives. Experience 2 years of experience in evaluation and analysis of healthcare data 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity 5 years of experience in quality measurement and improvement methodologies Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification. Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, Nursing, or a related field. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience managing and analyzing large datasets (clinical, operational, or customer service). Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Nursing or related technical field Certification Summary In facilitation, process improvement, project management, or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities through strong time management and relationship-building skills Job Responsibilities Leads the project management and process improvement team while fostering professional development and consistent application of best practices. Drives successful implementation of assigned initiative portfolios. Provides strategic project direction, establishes effective communication, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. Regularly prioritizes portfolio initiatives to ensure efficient and appropriate allocation of resources. Prepares and delivers comprehensive status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information. Facilitates meetings with clear objectives, agendas, and measurable outcomes. Develops clear, effective presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Serves as a mentor and role model for team members. Coordinates workflows to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of services. Communicates decisions, changes, and relevant updates in a clear and timely manner. Participates in employee performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development planning. Partners with operations, quality, and system leadership to develop and execute system-wide and ambulatory quality initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. Educates leaders, staff, and physicians on identifying key indicators aligned with organizational goals and performance targets. Collaborates with physicians and staff to obtain, validate, and document project-related data. Develops quality and service metrics to evaluate improvement outcomes. Evaluates and implements initiatives that support achievement of system goals. Maintains professional expertise in improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, Model for Improvement, and Statistical Process Control. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and manages departmental budgets in accordance with policy. Oversees performance improvement activities and ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements. Develops and supports ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement programs. Directs cross-functional projects supporting service line strategic plans, operational efficiency, and performance improvement. Ensures assigned projects are completed within established timelines and meet all deliverables.
