Quality Manager Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $95,000 a year 4 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications ISO standards Regulatory compliance Bachelor's degree Team management Full Job Description Quality Manager Position Overview The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that products, services, and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role leads quality assurance initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and ensures customer satisfaction through effective quality management systems. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001 , regulatory requirements) Lead internal and external quality audits Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and KPIs Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, supply chain) to improve processes Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues Train and mentor staff on quality standards and best practices Manage documentation, records, and quality reports Ensure suppliers meet quality expectations through evaluations and audits Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or related field 3-7+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) Experience with auditing and compliance Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Preferred Qualifications Certification such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) Experience in [industry-specific field: manufacturing, healthcare, food, etc.] Familiarity with quality tools (SPC, root cause analysis, FMEA) Key Skills Attention to detail Leadership and team management Process improvement Data analysis Risk management Decision-making Work Environment Typically office-based with time spent in production or operational areas May require occasional travel for supplier audits or site visits Applicant Tracking Software by
