$97,510 - $122,000 + Comprehensive Benefits About the Opportunity A nationally recognized healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Quality Specialist to lead strategic quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical effectiveness, regulatory performance, and healthcare outcomes. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders to drive data-informed performance improvement efforts across a complex healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, process improvement methodologies, and advanced analytics. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality & Performance Improvement Lead organization-wide quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical effectiveness, utilization management, and health equity. Analyze clinical and operational data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and care optimization. Develop and implement evidence-based interventions that improve quality metrics and patient outcomes. Facilitate multidisciplinary teams and workgroups to achieve strategic quality goals. Monitor and evaluate performance using industry benchmarks and regulatory reporting standards. Clinical Quality & Patient Safety Support initiatives related to patient safety, quality assurance, value-based care, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, pharmacy, and operational teams to improve care delivery processes. Assist in the development of clinical pathways, workflows, and standardized best practices. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety throughout the organization. Data Analytics & Reporting Translate complex clinical data into actionable recommendations for leadership and care teams. Develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making. Partner with analytics and technology teams to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of quality indicators. Utilize data to identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and support operational improvements. Project Leadership Lead medium- to large-scale quality improvement projects from planning through implementation and evaluation. Establish project timelines, performance metrics, and accountability measures. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, and other process improvement methodologies to achieve sustainable results. Mentor and educate leaders and staff on quality improvement tools and best practices. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, patient safety, value-based care, or quality assurance within an acute care hospital or health system. Healthcare industry experience is required. Certification in one of the following: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Project Management Robust Process Improvement (RPI) Demonstrated experience leading data-driven quality and performance improvement initiatives. Preferred Master's degree in a related discipline. Clinical background such as Nursing or Pharmacy. Experience working with Epic. Experience supporting regulatory and benchmarking programs such as CMS, Leapfrog, Vizient, Joint Commission, or U.S. News & World Report rankings. Advanced skills in Excel, Tableau, Minitab, or similar analytics tools.
