Scope of Work:
The Peer Leadership Contributor for Rise & Thrive focuses on the empowerment, connection, and holistic wellness of women of color at RCC. Through a 4-session intensive, contributors practice liberatory care models, share institutional knowledge, and build a sustainable network of peer support to enhance student retention.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Peer Facilitation:
Lead and engage in community-based discussions centered on identity, self-advocacy, and radical self-care.
Resource Sharing:
Facilitate the exchange of wellness strategies and academic resources to enhance the collective success and emotional well-being of women of color on campus.
Institutional Advocacy:
Contribute to departmental assessments regarding campus climate to ensure Wellness Center services meet the specific needs of WOC students.
Community Building:
Collaborate with peers to create a supportive "affinity space" that fosters leadership development and campus connection.
Safety Protocol:
Maintain strict peer-support boundaries; this role does not include clinical diagnosis, treatment, or independent crisis intervention.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Current enrollment at Roxbury Community College is in good academic standing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to community building and peer support. Preferred Qualifications (optional): ? Interest in Human Services, Social Work, or Community Health. Previous experience in student leadership or campus organizations.

$236.00 (One-time gross payment for completion of the 4-session intensive).
