Job Description
Schedule:
6 hours of Community Habilitation available at $25 per hour per week. Availability is Monday-Friday 9a-4p. There may be more hours available in the future.Job Overview:
Looking for a reliable, compassionate person, with experience with people with Developmental Disabilities to work with a man in the Rochester Area. This position will be working in the community with him on Communication Skills, Social Skills, and Community Recreation. This will assisting him in participating in community classes of interests, such as guitar lessons and exercising.Additional information:
It is important for applicants to have experience working with people with disabilities, an understanding of disability and deficits, as well as patience, understanding, and flexibility.Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and communication are essential for success in this role.
