No Department Overview The Oregon Rural Practice-based Research Network (ORPRN) was established in 2002 at Oregon Health & Science University. ORPRN's mission is to improve health for all Oregonians through community engaged research, education, and policy. The student worker position will support Medicaid members in Oregon by conducting outreach to identify members who may qualify for the Health-Related Social Needs Medicaid benefit (housing, nutrition, climate ) and connecting members to supports as applicable. The position may provide additional administrative support to other projects as needed. Function/Duties of Position The Student Worker will support two projects: Social factors profoundly impact health. The student worker position will support Medicaid members in Oregon by conducting outreach to identify members who may qualify for the Health-Related Social Needs Medicaid benefit (housing, nutrition, climate ) and connecting members to supports as applicable. The position may provide additional administrative support to other projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
Contact Medicaid members , in both English and Spanish, to identify members who may quality for the Health-Related Social Needs Medicaid benefit and connect members to supports Data entry of member interactions Data cleaning and basic analysis Other duties as assigned (e.g. supporting meetings and technical assistant offerings) REACH --- Galleri® in the Medicare Population. This multi-center comparative prospective cohort study is designed to assess the real-world clinical impact, including safety and test performance, of Galleri®, a blood-based multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test. The study will seek enrollment that is representative of the Medicare population. The ORPRN team is responsible for recruitment, enrollment, and study follow-up at OHSU satellite clinics, including sites in the Columbia River Gorge and Clatsop County.
Key Responsibilities include:
Recruitment/MyChart messaging, calls in English and Spanish Clinic prep, including printing and populating patient forms Review upcoming clinic day to confirm participant eligibility Required Qualifications Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours) High-level computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, with ability to create spreadsheets, data entry forms, queries and report, and experience with PowerPoint presentations. Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred Qualifications 1 year in research data collection, including handling protected health information. Additional Details Monday-Friday days.
