Job Description

Summary:
This position performs a diversified range of duties that include direct advocacy and service delivery, case management, data management and reporting. The position requires a broad skill set and ability to work both independently and as a team member.
Duties:
Provide trauma-informed advocacy to victims of domestic violence, through brief counseling, safety planning, and connections to community resources Coordinate with referral sources, including the DV Hotline, Westside Family Healthcare, and Christiana Care to support health and safety needs Meet with victims of domestic violence at healthcare clinics, in safe community locations, and at Child Inc. to provide advocacy and supportive services Offer ongoing support to DV victims through safety planning and linkages to supportive services and necessary resources.
Requirements:
Possession of a minimum of an Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred from an accredited college or university, in the behavioral sciences or healthcare field. A minimum of one year's work experience in the social services field. Bilingual (Spanish)experience orally and written is strongly preferred. Experience with domestic violence advocacy, safety planning and case management. Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches. Working knowledge of the domestic violence services and social services fields and the major practices and problems of their agencies, especially locally. Drives personal automobile. Must have valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

$42,000.00 - $44,500.00 per year
